At webSaver.ca, we’re serious about protecting your privacy. The following policy details how we will use your personal information.


INFORMATION COLLECTED AND HOW WE USE IT:

You always remain in control of the information you provide to webSaver.ca. We collect two types of information about visitors: Personal information (such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.), which you have voluntarily submitted to us, and Aggregate information (such as information about how many visitors log on to our sites, the pages they access, how and where our coupons and/or offers are redeemed, etc.). A 2nd barcode is used to identify at which retailer you redeemed your coupons.


In general, while you can visit our website and add webSaver.ca to your shopping cart without telling us who you are or revealing personal information about yourself, you must register to create a profile or login in order to complete your order and receive your webSaver.ca offers. We collect, maintain and use personal information you have voluntarily submitted to process, mail, email, digitally notify or print your webSaver.ca coupons and/or offers (including those from partner and/or affiliate marketers), contact you, including via e­mail or digital notification to respond to your comments or requests for information. We will also use it to communicate with you about the webSaver.ca service in general, and send any weekly or daily newsletters you’ve subscribed to, as well as sponsored and/or special offers vial mail, email or digital advertising on behalf of carefully selected partners in regards to offers, promotions, and new products that may be of interest to you, unless you choose to opt out of these mailings. You can do this by changing your preferences on your profile page and/or clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any webSaver.ca e­mail. In addition, we may use personal information to provide you the most helpful and targeted products and services to meet your needs and respond to your inquiries.

DATA SHARING AND TRANSFER:

webSaver.ca will not, without your consent, trade, sell or share your personal information for use by any business, other than the ones to which you submitted your information, , unless required by law or as disclosed to you when the information is collected. If you do provide us with consent to share your information with other companies, we may share your information with companies who offer products and services that may be of interest to you. These companies may then contact you directly with product or sample offers, personalized offers and information, or to ask for your feedback on products and programs that they think may be of interest to you.

Your personal information will generally be stored in the webSaver.ca databases, which are located in Canada. Specific information is provided on the web site's consent or registration form, where needed.


To advertisers and advertising networks that require the information to select and serve relevant advertisements to you and others. We do not disclose data about identifiable individuals to advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information. We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers target a specific audience (for example, men in a specific location). To third parties to market their products or services to you if you have not opted out of these disclosures. We require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.


RIGHT TO DELETE:

You may request that webSaver delete all the Personal Information it has collected from you in the past, subject to certain limited exceptions set forth below. If you request deletion, please know that your user experience with webSaver will look different and any personalization will be lost. webSaver will not be able to send you targeted offers for items that may be of interest to you and you may not receive personalized recommendations or emails. Even if you request deletion, webSaver will retain your account login information so that you may continue to use your account after exercising your right to delete. If you continue to use your account after submitting a request to delete, webSaver will again begin collecting purchase history and other information and using it in accordance with our privacy policy.


Also, if you request deletion, any cash back rewards that are pending approval in your webSaver account at the time of deletion will be deleted, and you will lose those pending rewards. In addition, your total lifetime earnings will be reset to the amount of Cash Back rewards in your webSaver account at the time of deletion. For all intents and purposes, when you request deletion, you will thereafter be treated as a new webSaver user. You will not retain any Cash Back rewards you previously earned and all other personalization within the webSaver up to that date may be irrevocably lost. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service provider(s) to:

  • Complete the transaction for which we collected the Personal Information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated by you within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
  • Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
  • Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided by law.
  • Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the information’s deletion may likely render impossible or seriously impair the research’s achievement, if you previously provided informed consent.
  • Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us and compatible with the context in which you provided the information to us.
  • Comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies help us in many ways to make your visit to our website more enjoyable and meaningful to you.
